Maree graduated with a bachelor’s degree in legal management at the Colegio de San Juan De Letran in the Philippines. Afterwards.
She earned her Juris Doctor at San Beda College – Alabang in the Philippines as well in July 2021.
Experience:
During her law school days, she was the President and a Level 2 Certified Legal Intern for a school-based law firm where she represents indigent clients in Criminal Cases. Some of the cases that she handled were Frustrated Murder, Kidnapping and Violence Against Women and Children.
After graduating law school, her goal was to focus on Corporation Law but as she learned more about Immigration Law where she will be able to help and make others’ lives better through immigration process, she was ecstatic to learn further and eventually be part of an Immigration Law Firm.
Before joining The HMA Law Firm, she was a working student during law school and she worked as a Paralegal for a big luxury department store in the Philippines for almost 2 years. She assists the legal department in contract reviews and doing legal research. She then worked as a Paralegal in a small law firm where she handled corporate matters such as but not limited to incorporation, increase of capitalization, mergers and the like.
Other:
She entered law school because of her passion to speak up for those who can’t be the voice for themselves, and it was the movie “Legally Blonde” that gave her the go signal to pursue law – given that she watched the movie more than 20 times.
Maree is fluent in Filipino and English.
