Allison “Allia” Risewick

Allison “Allia” Risewick is a Legal Fellow with a strong background in immigration law and a commitment to advocating for individuals and families navigating the U.S. immigration system.

Allia earned her Juris Doctor from the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law, graduating in May 2026. During law school, she developed extensive practical experience through the Immigration and Human Rights Clinic, where she represented clients in immigration matters, including preparing and advocating for an asylum applicant through the USCIS interview process.

Prior to and during law school, Allia gained several years of experience in immigration services and legal practice. While in law school, she gained experience volunteering with the ACLU of Louisiana, where she participated in detention visits and assisted with habeas corpus and appellate intakes. Her legal experience reflects a longstanding interest in immigration and human rights, particularly in helping individuals navigate complex legal systems and pursue stability and protection for themselves and their families.

Allia brings to her practice a combination of hands-on immigration experience, legal advocacy, and a client-centered approach to immigration defense.
