Cindy Martinez works as the Legal Assistant at The HMA Law Firm. She is responsible for the administrative tasks, making sure the law firm runs smoothly, filling out and filing important case documents with the courts/USCIS, and providing clients with updates on their case.

Though born in the United States, she is a first-generation daughter to immigrant parents from Honduras and El Salvador. Prior to joining The HMA Law Firm, she had a basic understanding of immigration law based on her family’s history of being in the immigration system and witnessing first-hand the struggles and obstacles her family had to go through to obtain status.

Ms. Martinez has an associate’s degree in psychology and is currently a full time student at George Mason University pursuing a bachelor’s degree in criminology with a concentration in forensic psychology.

She is also the co-founder of CM Foundation – a nonprofit that focuses on community outreach and providing translation services to those whose first language is not

English. Cindy is fluent in both Spanish and English.
