In Virginia the main detention facilities are Farmville, Rappahannock, and Hampton Roads. In Maryland, there is Worcester County Detention Center. Many DC-area cases get transferred to York County Prison.

There are several forms of relief that are available: asylum, withholding of removal, cancellation of removal, adjustment of status, deferral of removal, waivers under section 212(c), 212(h), 212(i), and others.
