Krysztof Tellez is a Mexico City native raised in Texas who is now a 1st generation naturalized citizen. Her family made the difficult choice to migrate and make the treacherous journey to the United States when she was only three years old. Her unique perspective to the HMA Law Firm strengthens the empathetic and compassionate bond she creates with clients daily. She focuses on being a helping hand to clients throughout their immigration journey—from consult to filing and beyond—so they can be a guiding light to their own families and generations to come.
Krysztof is an advocate for immigrants, indigenous communities, families, women, children and men, especially those who are survivors of trauma, abuse, social and political injustice. As a trauma survivor herself, she is passionate about trauma-informed work. She also helped build a social media presence for the HMA Law Firm that included information on immigration, trauma, religion, advocacy, and compassion through sharing our international backgrounds and her own story. As a professional mixed media artist and indigenous women’s leader, she has focused on helping those looking to heal through art and spiritual work.
Initially, Krysztof moved back to Mexico City to be close to family and to study medicine but after working closely with the attorneys at the HMA Law Firm on cases such as asylum, SIJS, and U-visa cases, she realized that immigration law was her mission. While navigating the everchanging laws and statutes of the immigration system, exposure to the legal process has always been part of her life.
Krysztof Tellez believes that our efforts are not only for the individuals and families that approach the firm but for the generations to come. She vows to be loyal and committed to the mission, her clients, and their pursuit of liberty.
