1. **SCOPE OF SERVICES**:
This agreement covers only the initial consultation services. The consultation does not form an attorney-client relationship. If further legal advice or services are needed, a separate agreement will be entered into.
2. **CONFIDENTIALITY**:
All information disclosed by the Potential Client to the Lawyer during the consultation will remain confidential and privileged. This extends to all support staff, paralegals, and other attorneys at the Firm. The Lawyer will not disclose any information received from the Potential Client unless the Potential Client gives explicit written permission, or as required by law.
3. **CONSULTATION FEE**:
The Potential Client agrees to pay the Lawyer a consultation fee in advance of the consultation. This fee covers the time and opportunity cost spent by the Lawyer in reviewing any materials provided by the Potential Client, as well as the consultation itself.
4. **RETAINER CREDIT**:
If the Client retains the Lawyer within 15 calendar days following the consultation, the consultation fee paid will be credited toward the Client’s retainer. This credit does not apply if the Client retains the Lawyer after this 15-day period.
5. **NO GUARANTEE**:
The Lawyer makes no guarantees about the outcome of any future legal services. The Client acknowledges and agrees that they have not been promised any specific results by the Lawyer.
6. **CHOICE OF LAW**:
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved in accordance with Virginia law.
7. **ENTIRE AGREEMENT**:
This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the Client and the Lawyer regarding the consultation. It supersedes any prior agreements, understandings, or representations.
BY CLICKING BELOW AND ENGAGING THE LAWYER FOR A CONSULTATION, THE CLIENT ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THEY HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, AND AGREES TO BE BOUND BY THEM.
